This is a test page to experiment with music files. I will create the permanent page soon.
I am playing with importing pdf scores of Beach's music into the scoring program Finale, then turning those into sound files. (for those who would like to know how this is done, they have to be converted to tiff files, then Finale uses built in character recognition to convert them to its .mus files. This process saves me the time of having to write out all her scores! It does not work perfectly, there are many errors in the score, but it will be faster for me to edit the errors in the score than to have to transcribe her scores from start to finish. Once I have them in Finale, I can play them in midi programs, read the charts myself, publish playable scores, etc.
When I have finished all of this I will add my narrative to all of it too, of course.
